The Cross Culture Communication
I would like to worite about " Greeting" both of Japan and The US. I think both of their ways are very different. In gernral, Japanese style is "Bow" adn no huging, no shaking hands, and of course no kissing. On the other hand, there are some ways, shaking hands, kissing on cheak, hugging weather if they have met each other for the first time. In my opinion, it is kind of weird. I have some oppertunities to meet foreign people because I majoring in English. I have to do American style sometimes. i am not irresistible. I think this is the cross culture.

返信削除I know that U.S. and Japan have each greeting. Sometimes, I envy foreign people because huging and kissing are very ordinarly thing in U.S. I can't hun with Japanese beucase it isn't Japanese culture. However, I can do with foreighners♪♪ It is just cross culture communication, you know. As you know, I love foreigners so much, so I look forward to huging with foreigners ehwn they come to HJU♪♪
It's a little joking, but sometimes it is true....
We have to adopt our culture to foreign countries. If I rejest it, I was hated to them!!! I don't want them to reject!!!!

返信削除it's not true that people hug and kisses each other when they meet for the first time in US. From what I see, not that much. People can still go with a hand-shake, or a "Hi".
The "kiss and hug" greeting is more for the European countries, especially the French.

返信削除In France, when guys meet each other, it's usually hand shakes, they don't kiss. :D
But if it is guy meet girl, they usually do the kissing greeting.
To be frank, I can't really get use to it in the beginning. But somehow, you just get use to it, and it become normal! ;)
But do watch out for guys with lots of mustach! Sometimes, it can be quite dirty!

anyway, it is very weird the guys meet girl, they usually kiss greeting. I am sure that it is "men". haha
